Commencing my professional trajectory in 2014, I served as District Field Officer with Mercy corps International till June 2016. Subsequently, in August 2016, I assumed the role of Clinical Head Nurse with MSF in Bajaur Pakistan until December 2020. In January 2021 i joined the International Medical Corps at Afghanistan and served as Nursing Specialist until June2022.In October 2022, I have been contributing as a Assistant Teaching Nurse/Capacity Building Expert at the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) at subdeligation Peshwar Pakistan.
Capacity Building Expert - Roles and Responsibilities
Facilitate the the ICRC Capacity Building Courses as Course Facilitator including Basic Emergency Care (BEC) Emergency Room Trauma Care (ERTC) Course, Mass Casualties Simulation Excerise, MCI work Shops, Emergency Prepardness and wounded Care conferences.
Identify teaching nurses from ICRC supported health facilities and build their Capacity as per ICRC Nursing Teaching Guidelines.
Evaluate the needs of nursing department of supported health facilities and creat and implement quarterly based teaching plans for teaching nurses.
Coordinate on regular base with teaching nurses and conduct biweekly teaching classes at the hospital ensuring the pre post test from participants nurses.
Identify hospital mass Casualty committees, assigned the rules (gold, silver,bronze)commands and draft the MCI plans for each health facilities and implements and updates those plans by conducting MCI Drills on Quarterly base.
Identify and trained IPC Committe through ICRC and WHO IPC courses and tailored WHO IPC Audit tools as per the needs and capacity of the health facility.
Moinitor the IPC condition of the hospitals through IPCauditing.
Assess organizational needs and design capacity-building programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Develop training materials, workshops, and modules tailored to address specific institutional challenges.
Facilitate training sessions for staff across various departments, promoting professional growth.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of capacity-building initiatives through performance metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of capacity-building efforts with organizational objectives.
Provide technical assistance and mentoring to staff to strengthen individual and team capabilities.
Conduct research and recommend best practices for sustainable development and institutional growth.
Prepare reports, case studies, and documentation to highlight program outcomes and improvements.
